Thanks, George

Bravo to Hillary and Bill for finally tuning the page toward a Democratic victory in November.  Despite his hideous FISA vote, Senator Obama appears to be the candidate we need to move the distribution of wealth back to the American People who now own only a tiny trickle-down percentage of our enormous wealth.  Now most of the nation’s wealth is in the corrupt and filthy hands of about 1000 billionaires who only care for themselves and their immediate families.  Meanwhile most Americans live paycheck to paycheck and are saddled with crushing credit card debt.

The Bush administration shares the blame with the Republican House and Senate for 7 of its 8 years, passing bills that irreparably damage most American Families.  They have gutted our constitution by removing our rights of free speech, right to a fair trial, our rights to privacy, etc.  They rewrote the bankruptcy laws in favor of the credit card companies, basically legalizing usury.  They deregulated the real estate prime lenders, thus running the unsuspecting middle class into foreclose hell.  The Bush administration has allowed large drug companies to over charge poor and middle class citizens whatever they want.  Any attempt to institute universal health care has been crushed by the Neocons who scream “socialism” as a way to squelch the debate.  Meanwhile millions of our people go without health care, putting many of our children in grave jeopardy.

I’ll have much more soon regarding the coming depression, the price of gold and oil, etc.

"I Told You So"

It would seem that Mrs. Clinton is attempting to build a substantial case for, “I told you so!”  She’s driving the senior and middle class white women to vote for McCain or not vote at all when she finally looses the nomination.  Goodbye Democratic Party.  Senator Clinton is working for her own best interests, as usual.  Boy, I hope I’m dead wrong and she supports Obama wholeheartedly toward November.
Meanwhile, it may be academic.  I just now saw an email from Noah T. Winer at MoveOn.org who is pointing out that McCain’s campaign is run entirely by lobbyists with shady ties to brutal dictators and Blackwater.  We’ll see if it gets traction with the media, otherwise most people don’t even know what a lobbyist does, or even how their government works, for that matter.

Senator Clinton's Mental Health

It would seem that Senator Clinton is on her way to becoming a mental patient.  She reveals her mental instability when she said that “Sen. Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states [WV & KY] who had not completed college were supporting me."  This is the code that former Jim Crow law supporters would use to say that only white men know how to work hard.  I guess this is some sort of botched attempt at populism but it comes off as racism and is enough to make me vomit.  She’s borrowing all of her tactics from the Bush Crime Family and is well on her way to destroying the Democratic Party the same way the Neo-cons destroyed the Republican Party.

Further, Senator Clinton says she wants to break up OPEC because they’re a monopoly and a cartel.  Okay, so what else is new?  However, we all know the real problem is that our American society and economy is addicted to oil.  Isn’t going after OPEC akin to a junkie lashing out at his drug dealer for continuing to feed his habit?

Clinton is running a campaign of irrationality.  When her fellow democrats finally convince her to drop out of the race, I fully expect her to begin campaigning for Senator McCain.  Someone please find this woman some mental health care before she needs some old fashioned shock treatment.

New York Times and John McCain

Today’s article in the New York Times is surprising because on January 25th, 2008, they endorsed John McCain. Back in the 1990’s, McCain was deeply involved with Charles Keating who took his banking investors to the tune of 3.4 billion dollars. McCain was one of the infamous “Keating Five,” three of whom went to jail, including his dear friend Keating! Add that to his long relationship with the lobbyist Vickie Iseman who used him to write letters on behalf of her clients to his fellow senators. It seems obvious that McCain is at least just a bad judge of character. Who will this poor fool surround himself with? No American should not take that chance. The truth is that a man is only as good as the people around him.

Allan Rich's Political Blog

I was blacklisted from acting in the 1950's for my liberal politics.  You can read about that on my website and in my book about acting, not to mention my other blog for the book.  Now in the age of blogging, I feel compelled to step in and give my 82 year-old perspective on the current goings on.

Today is the day after "Super Tuesday."  I'm cautiously optimistic that the country will be turned around because of the large turn out of Democratic voters.  I've always thought that most people are liberal if you ask them the right way, it's just these neo-cons like George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and now John McCain who have run roughshod over our beloved Constitution.  But beware, these dirty tricksters will do anything to stay in power.  We need a new approach to our thinking.

First we need to send Bush and Cheney back to school to learn the definition of the word "war."  My dictionary says war is "an armed conflict between nations or states."  What's happening in Iraq is simply an illegal occupation of an unarmed sovereign nation. Therefore, I wish everyone would replace the term "Iraq War" with "Illegal occupation of Iraq."  For instance, instead of some pundit discussing Congressional funding for the "Iraq War," they would instead be discussing funding for "the illegal occupation of Iraq."  See the difference?  More later...
